Hi All,

I have a problem, I've discarded my a/c from my 67 coronet, but now I don't know how to reconnect the hoses.
See pic to make things clear.

The problem is (C), according to the shopmanual it's called a water valve.
But what does this valve, is it necessary for your heater?

Non a/c cars do not have those valves, at least not like this one. And the hoses go directly to the heater via (A) and (B).

And if this water valve is necessary for propper operation of the heater, what direction is the water flow, from (C) to (B) to (A)?

Thanks and cheers,
Remco

pretty sure the valve reduces the pressure / flow into your heater core so it doesnt blow .... should flow from c-b-a .... as far as if you need it or not ? ... not all cars have them, so its your call !!

What hose goes to where on the water pump? I have a 66/67 and I'm familiar with that setup but some people get the water pump connections backwards. The fitting in the front, or even with the pump impeller is the the high pressure side....

hoses

when i did my 70 basicly the same , just run hoses from water pump through the heater core, or if you dont care about heat bypass heating system altogether , take the hoses off all, and put pipe plugs where the nipples are in the water pump housing, or leave the nipples and run a bypass hose from
nipple too nipple hope this helps

Thanks all!

Sorry for the late response.
I've reconnected all hoses as original. apart from the U-shaped hose, I've made my own from copper pipe and some hoses.

@ Cranky, the waterpump output is the one on the intake. (see image)
(A) is output and (B) is input. Atleast that's what i am told. And I think I've read that in the shopmanual...
I am talking about a '67 LA 318.

Cheers,
Remco
