How to find out what part number my hub is

Okay it's no secret that Mopar mixed and matched parts on the assembly line. With that being said, I don't drive my car a whole lot and it has been a long time since I replaced the front brakes, but I do remember that the part number in the books did not match my car and I think the ones that did fit were out of a Valiant or a Dart.

My newest problem is I have a spun front bearing. The hub that I have does not match the books. How do I find the correct hub replacement?? I can't find a stamped or molded part number.

Forget looking for what the correct number for the hub. Measure the OD of the spindle where the bearing rides and the ID of the inner race to compare sizes. Then knock out the outer race from the hub and check the part number on the bearing race. The bearing assembly will also have a number on it. As long as the bearing did not spin in the hub, and the spindle looks okay, just get a new bearing from the numbers on the original.

If the hub is damaged, find the bearing application, and then get a hub from the boneyard for that bearing.
