This doesn't answer your questions about the paint itself, but maybe the code, F5. Don't concern yourself so much with the NAME of the color, since Chrysler loved to be creative and change their names, sometimes, yearly, it seems. You'd just need to know the code and possibly the year.

I am another that thinks leave it as a survivor, just protect it.m if you intend on going to car shows, i think it will get more attention, if you want it .
Last year I sold my parents 1961 Dodge Pioneer to a fellow. It was always kept inside. He is keeping it as is except for mechanics and some interior work.
They were ugly, but out handled any GM or Ford.

Your car had enamel paint applied from the factory, unlike General Motors which used lacquer in some factories up to the early 1980s. You shouldn't have problems with recoating with new enamel.

Does that mean any kind of enamel paint works as long as the color matches?

It's likely to be alkyd enamel, although it doesn't matter. You're spraying enamel over it so as long as you are have sprayed enamel before just do what you do.

Just stay away from really hot solvents, and you won't be worrying about that with most enamel reducers. Just ask if they try to sell you something you've never heard of.

Lacquer is something different than enamel?
