Was wondering how to replace the PS steering box in my 70 b Body? its Leaking from the the top o ring? It's an auto also.

Consult a FSM for detailed instructions.

1. Remove power steering fittings from box.
2. Remove pitman arm.
3. Knock roll pin out of coupler, loosen column and slide back.
4. Remove 3 bolts holding box to k frame.

That's it I think.

Depending on headers, how much room etc you may have to jack engine up to get the box out.

While you’re replacing the box, you should look at the Borgeson box.

@dadsbee swapped that seal without removing the steering box. Search for his thread on this subject.

O yea it’s got a Hemi.‘looks like the starter, exhaust manifold and the torsion bar have to come out? Don’t think I can remove forwards? The radiator, PS pump battery tray? Still might not b enough room?

Here's what I did, took about 2 hr's. Also this was a 70 B body Hemi engine.
1 removed battery for better access.
2 disconnected both fluid lines.
3 push out pin out of coupler, lowered column and slide back.
4 removed the 3 - 12point steering box bolts.
5 removed driver's side tire and the rear rubber cover to help see
the top starter bolt to remove the starter.
6 remover the bolts for exhaust manifold
7 when removing the manifold had to wiggle the steering box to get
the manifold out.

Hope this helps some out out.
