I've had a 1967 Plymouth Belvedere II sedan for quite some time. Inherited it. Rocksalt crucified this poor thing in the early 70's. Needs pans and paint and everything else. Runs and drives. I joined to find out more about this thing. It's the common 318 LA. 727 trans, factory air, factory power steering. All numbers matching. Straight solid body. I'm just wondering if the sedan 4 doors are worth keeping? Lots of memories in this thing but I just don't know what to do with it. It needs a harness as well. Stupid bulkhead connector.

You have to ask yourself what do you want out of the car. It costs a lot of $$ to restore a car. Make sure of your gOals.

:welcome: aboard!

Yearone has your wiring, like factory original.

Welcome to FBBO. I would get it on the road first(just mechanical and electrical work)and drive the wheels off of it. Then decide on the cosmetics. Good luck.

Welcome to the forum. I agree with the above, decide what you really, really want first. If you have this car, but secretly wish it were a two door whatever, then I say do the stuff to get it running, and safe, and sell it to finance your two door whatever, and be happy instead of always wishing it was some other model....just saying. Good luck anyway whatever you decide.

Welcome ..... as for the question. You wont get a straight answer. However we will tip toe around the subject "do what ever makes you happy". My thoughts are if you knew what made you happy you wouldnt be asking for an opinion..... right?

So instead of me being honest and being the bad guy....lets look at the market values of much nicer cars. compare these against the cost of restoring the car. Then whatever makes you happy....

I love this car. It stands for sale for now. But if parts fall into my lap or I get good deals I'll probably restore it. I've got a guy that will do body work and paint for free. I am a mechanic so I can 90% of the work myself. I'm just conflicted whether it's worth the time. But none the less I've got it. Ohh and heres a funny story for you. I'm still trying to convince this one old mopar guy to restore his unicorn 1971 Plymouth cuda, 426 hemi, dana 60, 4 speed, convertible, front disc brake. I've checked and it is a real numbers matching hemi cuda convertible. I'm still scratching my head as to why he hasn't either sold it as is or restored it.

welcome to FBBO I agree get it running and drive the wheels off it

Got bored today and cleaned the intake manifold and threw the carb on. Hot wired it and hooked up a fuel tank in the back seat. Still runs decent save for the valve blow by due to being original and having been formulated for leaded fuel. Time to throw together a custom harness.

Welcome to the site! What part of Texas are you in? I've had my eye open for a daily driver but one that isn't a total project. The 66-67 B body cars don't seem to bring the big bucks and 4 door cars are usually looked at as donor cars and restoring one will be just as time consuming and costing $$ wise as any other 2dr car. My first car was a 66 Belvedere II that was bought new by my sister which ended up in my dads hands and I ended up with it in 69 even though I was driving it as mine in 67. My driver's ed car was a 67 Belvedere II which I thought was a bit ironic. Even drove the 66 to driver's ed class lol. How long has it been sitting? Looks like the registration expired in 3-15?

Welcome to the site! Would be nice to see it get restored!

Thanks for all the welcomes. I think I've decided to do a semi resto on it. Going to do rust removal and a lot of other stuff. Mostly get it daily worthy for now.

Welcome aboard, I like all the 67's. Four doors can be cool as daily drivers, maybe a cop car vibe with big black steelies...

Don has a lot of money...he has a premium car. No offense but dont throw your money away on this car ...even for FREE! a thousand dollars spent is a thousand dollars wasted. I'm not trying to be mean but a false pretense that it has value is not being a true friend to you.
