Mia culpa, I was planning to get around to an intro but ...... well here are some of my excuses.
My Gtx, my wife’s Sport convertible and “my first posts here” the big project of my friend’s collection of the Rettig Bros. 40 year reuniting of the ‘63 Belvedere and ‘64 Dodge car hauler.
I’ve been on C-bodies selling some stuff and chiming in once in a while. Failed the intro there. So chiming in here and selling some parts that find me, it’s not my fault.
Now the confessions... I recently joined the Pinto Club of America under the name junk junkie to help a friend sell a pinto wagon project or part it out. I liked the name jj and I think it would apply to a few here.
Now I don’t want the dreaded “This post is worthless without pictures” caravan to show up so here are a few of the 3000 or so photos on this phone.
Yes yes I know the engine color is wrong and heard the comments at shows “must be a Chevy guy” especially with the black engine bay on the GTX but I swear I’m getting to it. Now where did that list of excuses go to, damn. I’ll get back to you.

Hi haywire 440, you know the saying about better never than late.... :) Thanks for introducing yourself, it looks like you really keep busy!
:welcome:

I've always loved the Rettig Bros car. Pretty sure it used to make the Chrysler Classic events at Norwalk (when the annual Mopar show was called that).

Welcome to FBBO @haywire 440

Nice cars you have...I'm sure you'll get that black paint off some day.....:D

Thanks for the greetings from near and far. I do get to things eventually. I have more photos and stories of the Rettig vehicles and I just added a new set of tires on the Gtx that are white wall, rated for 130mph, $119 each shipped from California and came from S. Africa. You’ll have to wait for more information on them in my post coming soon.

So you have shanghaied our local race cars..... Might as well do one of these.... :nutkick:

a belated welcome to someone that joined in 2017

:drinks: Cheers to all the welcomers. When I first joined I did have the goal of promoting some great friends with the Rettig racing equipment. Those guys have their brains full of facts and drag racing history. I had other things to tend to after that. Now I’m refreshed. 1 Wild R/T rest assured that these cousins treasure these California treasures. Later y’all.

Welcome from the show me state!! Feels funny saying that after this long. LOL
