My "views" Saturday 10/10 at Cruisin the Coast, Bay St Louis venue. I and others may have been facing Hurricane Delta, but we were blessed, AGAIN, by a reprieve. Given the HUGE amount of money spent on parts and labor, on the GTO and Roadrunner, and both cars were released to us "ready" and the mechanics, 2 different people/shops, one for the GTO and one for the Roadrunner, BUT:
The GTO overheated on the way home.
I spent weeks working on that, only to find that I was able to get it to a point where it could "make it" to Cruisin The Coast, but it still runs hot on the highway. Just about the last thing to check is something I've suspected all along, the gap is too big (spec is 1/10th inch) between the water pump impeller vanes and the divider plate in the middle of the water pump. The problem is I have to remove most of the Wraptor components to get to it.
I got my Roadrunner Thursday 10/1 and burned up the electric fan motor 5 minutes from home. Motor #2 cost $200 w/next morning delivery, and that one burned up in less than an hour. Motor #3 burned up, even though I had found and absolutely fixed a bad ground. A low profile flex fan got it to be able to make Cruisin The Coast 2 days.
These "views" were hard fought for!!
