I have #2843992 (left) and #2899879 (right) manifolds and would like your input.
Are these good or are there better flowing parts out there?
Thanks in advance

Manifold wise only the Max Wedge flow better, however they will not fit in later B Bodies.

The 992 is a 68-9 manifold and the 879 is a 70-72 manifold. FYI

TTI website lists them both as 66-69. Think I may use them in place of current headers. Just too much hassle for me anymor. Especially when laying on the floor to work on the underside, like having to replace a starter! Thanks to all for the input. ruffcut

I have 'ported Cast Iron' my org. 68 HP manifolds on my car, 68 RR
low deck 6bbl RW 590hp/600+tq
my org. 1-7/8" mid-length Heddman headers, wouldn't fit
with the Unisteer rack I used

(I still use a TTI 3" head pipes, Flowmasters mandrel exhaust
& Flowmasters delta-flow 50 series muffs, 3" all the way out the back
)

So went back to the org. CI HP manifolds, was supposed to be temp.
while I get cash saved for the TTI-178383 only one that fit $1,190
or build a set, I have all the bends & flanges, but going on 2 years now
it killed the bottom end bigtime, 50+ hp killed at min., probably way more top-end wise
It still runs ok, mid range cruising part throttle, it's fine,
it doesn't like to rev past 6200 now,
it big time choked it off, it'd go to well over 7000, with the old headers,
same everything else, except
I had to lean it out bigtime, 84's in outboards to 78's/center 65's to 62's inboard
after going back too the HPs, still fat at hwy speeds,
don't want to lean it much more

I thank you for that info!
My combo is similar and has the TTI 1 7/8 headers, so I think I'll stay with them.
