HP or not HP?

Is it true that HP 383 motors (335HP) are ORANGE and that the 330HP/383 motors are all BLUE?

I think pre 69 motors were the blue and the 69 and later were orange.

68= All 383's were turquoise
69 = 383HPs were orange, non HP's turquoise
70 = HP's were orange and non HP's were blue

to the best of my knowledge,{protects me from an assault by the know it alls} the HP engines were All stamped HP some where on the block depending on engine size

i've got four 383 h.p block's for sale.....an thanks for the correct info...on color also lots of cylinder heads...

Only difference between an "HP" block and a NON "HP" block are those two little letters stamped on the pad.

u r right about the blocks ...the hp stamp just told you what goodies were inside that block when it left the ole factory....speaking of which isn't it time for mopar body shells to come out...???????
