Hydrolic lifters in a block poly

pretty sure 318-3 was the truck engine.
Would this engine have non adjustable rockers? I guess I’m a little skeptical that Polys were ever made with hyd lifters. I ran across a mid sixties Oliver combine years ago with a commercial Poly engine with sold lifters.

did they make poly 328-3s?
there were poly hyd lifters
my sealed power catalog (80's) has the cam specs for both
(now where did I put it after I looked at it last month)

I think ductile iron rockers is all they had. i'd be a nightmare to do stamped steel with opposing rockers on a single shaft.

This comes from the link I put in post #14.....

Dodge 318-3 Poly
"The 318-3 is known as the Premium engine 318, it was normally found in the W300 and W500. The differences are roller timing chain, hydraulic lifters, lower compression ratios, special alloy rods and bearings, higher pressure oil pump, a larger oil pan, and tighter tolerances for the crank and pistons, it also had slightly smaller valves. It was built to work hard."

'Normally found' to me means it's possible it was also used in other applications. I know when things went bad on the assembly line, it wasn't unusual to get your supply from whatever means possible within the company if possible to keep production going. Chrysler back then wasn't very big when compared to Ford and was minuscule when compared to GM so they had to think out of the box to keep the competition as bay. Not saying I had one in my car because I simply don't know what was under the valve covers but thinking back, it sure didn't run as well as other 66 teens did....even with a good tune up. It didn't lag behind much but it never was equal with the others. It did take everything I threw at it but it never saw 5000 rpm simply because it wouldn't go there.

also premium valves, other good stuff
marine engines were similar

there were 318-3 polys what was I thinking
I'm also thinking that the motor in Sweptline may easily have a bad cam lobe
check the drain plug magnet and cut the filter apart and check
someone who is on sweptline may want to pass on the tip
