Hyrdgoon's - project angrybird

As you saw in my video and can see in some of my pics I went for the Amber highbeam look by spraying the highbeams with Krylon stained glass yellow! Looks great on a couple other guys cars (particularly the blue Mopars like djais) but it's just not growing on me for mine.... For some reason I find it makes the front of my car look..... cheap???? I think I'm gonna swap them out this week. Any thoughts guys? what do you think? They don't even help "FER RACIN'!!!"

I concur. They don't help Fer Racin. If I remember the article right, I believe the amber lights knock like 3.927402 hp off. I'd go clear and get that power back, ya know, FER RACIN EH!!

Actually what I got today was more big things to worry about... Went in for alignment because we dropped the front 1 1/2" with the Torsion Bars (still have 3 3/4" for oil pan and good rake) and the alignment just wouldn't take... I know that the car had some front end damage at some point in it's life but now may have to look at straightening the frame or an a good adjustable UCA that will allow me enough play to get what I need. I've got good camber now but it pulls to the left like a SUMBITCH!

Looking a little further into the clutch issue too and think we may have a resolution... just waiting on word back from Centreforce and then I'll keep you guys posted. All sorts of little items still to be checked off the list but it can be driven and trust me it is!! lol

The car looks fantastic!!! The grille aint bad either.

Thanks Zack, I did the best I could with what I had. Someday I'll get one of yours or have you do mine because mine is far from perfect but damn this thing ate into my wallet this year! lol

Some updates on the current status of Angrybird and all the "fun" that comes with these projects!

As some of you know from my other post I've already managed to break the drivers side Mity Mount. (warranteed for the life of the car "YOU WILL NEVER BREAK THESE MOUNTS") although with 660 lbs/torq strapped to a 4 speed I can't say there is reason for surprise. Mity Mounts has shipped my warranty replacement by snail mail from Alabama and I have a Shumacher Torq strap on the way to be installed at the same time.

I've got an oil leak I can't quite track down I was underneath yesterday and didn't see anything too obvious so I just snugged up the pan and hoped that was all it was... it's slowed but not resolved from what I can tell. I'll get back underneath today.

I have a bad wheel hop when leaving aggressively because my springs are so damn soft but I really like the ride height so instead of a set of replacement springs and having to play with lowering blocks etc.. for the price I'm considering adding a set of Cal Tracs and calling that a fix for now... thoughts?

And as you saw above I have a bit$h of a time with alignment because I know the frame is crooked.... I found an adjustable UCA that "might" help me get this thring driving straight OR I found a collision shop that said they can put my car on the jig with everything in tact and pull my frame for about $550..... I'm definitely leaning to the 2nd option as a proper fix.

Sure did turn out awesome Goon :VB toast:. Definitely looks like it needs a "fer racin" bumper sticker to finish it off LOL. That really sucks finding out about the bent frame at this stage of the game. I couldn't bare to watch one of my cars getting pulled after the paint was on. Maybe just drop it off and go have a beer or two while the work is being done.
