I liked the TR6's. Firstly I think I would fit, second the 6 cylinder engine, third the oversized wheels.

How well did the floor panels and body panels hold up against being in a salt state? I don't believe they used galvanized steel in those cars.

Which model year?...73? I might have asked in the past.

Gorgeous car. It reminds me of a (hot lady) customer's TR-6 when I worked at a grocery store.

I bought it for her in 2012......it has some bondo in it.........nice 20 footer, floors and trunk are perfect

runs like a swiss watch; smoothest car I ever drove....... zero vibrations anywhere

I aim to make it real nice in the not so distant future

There was a scene in a Doris Day/Rock Hudson movie (I don't remember the title) where they got in some tiny English sportscar, and he couldn't get out.

1955 MG TF 1500 in the 1959 movie "Pillow Talk"

Twenty years ago I drove this thing.... !937 Siata Zagato Gran Sport... Originally built for Benito Mussolini.. And while it might not look like it in the photo it's probably close to a foot shorter than an MG Midget...

that's cool......... these things are like pedal cars compared to a B body

I had a 76 MG Midget MKIV fugly Brown-ish/Yellow-ish Mustard color
w/the chrome bumpers still,
those lil' 6"x8" square black rubber bumperette/5mph bumpers
1st thing I took off they were goofy looking
before the fugly molded bumpers of later years...

I put Cragers S/ST on it Radial T/A 60s front & 50s rear
from the local Parnelli Jones Firestone

I did a Judson vein blower v belt driven,
custom mount they were made for VWs
thru a side draft Webber...

I had to cut & weld, fab 'Frankenstein' the stock intake
but about doubled the hp though,
I'm sure the fuel distribution sucked too...

It'd eat clutches if you were aggressive out of the hole
fun lil' light car, too small but fun...
Them lever shocks suck...
I'd mess with people that thought their lil' sports car was fast...
I couldn't drive it with the top up, but was fun to buzz around in...

My GF at the time Vicky/Penny really liked driving it...

I'm sure I looked like Megillah Gorilla driving it too...

I got it in a trade for some partial payment on construction work,
at a dealership...

My oldest sister wanted it, talked me out of it
so I sold it to her for $2500, like 1982-ish...

I went thru an era where I had a bunch of English B/L cars,
I hate Lucas wiring with a passion, MG Jag Triumph Stag,
or just sports cars, even a Datsun 1600 too, also highly modified
that lil' car had better head & leg room than the MG...

sorry no photos

KD likes to watch the little people doing naughty things! They are over 21, I'm not judging!

Cute car, but I didn't care for the rubber baby-buggy bumpers. I don't think they would bother me now.....
Not sure about the Midgets, but on the MG B models when they added the rubber bumpers, they also had to raise ride height to comply with the new bumper laws. I only owned early MGB's so I can't say if it had much of an effect on handling or not, but I bet it didn't improve it any.
