I can ALMOST hear it !

What in Tar Nation?
Yes. As I said. STUPID POWER. I have no idea how to keep the Cuda on the ground? The car was built decades ago for an attempt at Pro Stock (in the day) modify stock by today's standard. Race hemI was sold in early 80s. And car has been a rolling body since. The motor is bolted on frame rail where the original race hemi once sat. IM done trying to research the original race teams intentions. But from what I understand? The car never made big times. Only a backup to a team at Gator Nationals in 75. (I guess Sox Martin at Dick Landy were just too good.) So here we are. I'm hoping they had some success with balance of car?

904 ci Schubeck DOHC motor. Aluminum block and heads. 1120 HP N/A on pump 91 fuel. 10.2:1 compression. 2- 1.9" intake valves. 2- 1.5" exhaust. Dry sump oiling. EFI Big stuff management system. (LS1) It broke the the dyno before torque number. But saw meter peg at 1000 ft/lbs at about 3000 rpm. STUPID POWER.
I'm sure that 904 cu. in's is capable of much more than 1120 HP, but who makes things for that monster. It should be able to twist that car like a pretzel.

Yes it can make much more than 1200 horse. Add a little boost? And it's an entirely different animal. The Cuda' frame is tied with a 4 link rear. The good news is the motor is designed to be 1200 horse. Poured from the foundry. It should push all day long. (It's the drive train and rest of car that will suffer.) Another issue is it produces at lower RPM. Almost like a diesel? Max horse at 5200. Red line 6500. Thus rear gear to Dana will be 3.54. (Has 4.88:1 currently that the higher reving hemi used.) Full strange gear and axles. I have a JW Ultrabell power glide with a gear vendor overdrive for the trans. But not sure that's the route I prefer. That trans is for top alcohol and heats up quick. So may conside a Lenco? So many things can go wrong. But I am stupid enough to try.

I didn't mean to take away from the blue wedge that headed this thread. It's too easy to get off on a side note. But for the record? That Blue beauty would look awesome in my 69 GTX street machine. I wouldn't hesitate for a second. Let alone the performance upgrade compared to my stock 440.
