A couple of suggestions that may help. B1 heads require drain back lines front and rear on each head, they go to the oil pan just below the pan rail. Usually 8an lines. It appears that the holes have been installed already in your heads and from the oil pan pic I saw it has at least rear line provisions. Also it may be an issue where you located the vacuum pump line on the valve cover. They need to be mounted as high as possible (On top of valve cover) Due to the B1's compact valve train design if mounted low it will pump oil right out of the motor very fast. How is that motor setup on rocker oiling? Is the block bushed for push rod oiling or are you using spray bars with oil lines restricted or the third option restricted shaft oiling which is what I use. It is fairly easy to do it with a Keith Black block since they have priority oiling built in the block for the main and rod bearings This is a very crucial part of making these motors reliable. Top end oiling must be setup correct or you will have a ton of oil up there making a mess but not getting to the pushrod tips and burning them as a result which will cause rockers breaking along with other failures. In the pic below you can see how my drain back lines are installed.
