I need Max wedge hood scoop placement measurements?

I think the title says it all.I am ordering a Sled city Max wedge scoop for my 63 Polara 500 vert.I have a extra hood am an going to mount it on that hood. I need the correct measurements for the scoop??

Here we go again.

I say 3" away from the rear of hood, that's what I was told and what I did. Others will say much closer. I've seen them both ways and they always look great.

Maybe this pic will help. I looked at all the 63's I could at Carlisle before placing my scoop on my 63 Sport Fury and this is where it sits. I can go out in the garage in the morning and get the exact measurement at the back of the hood to the scoop. Ron

I am ordering a sled city scoop. They suggest 2 3/4inches from the back of the hood.

if i am not mistaken it is 1.5 inches from the back of the scoop. hemis are right at the back edge like .5
