tavern.jpgtavern.jpgtavern.jpgTrail riding is a little like skiing, if you don't wreck you aren't pushing yourself hard enough. My hand is almost completely healed from a bad dirt bike wreck on July 5th. That one had me over the handlebars and knocked out for a few seconds. Today I took it easier but still went down three times. The trails are extremely eroded this time of year and the ruts can be nasty. I was going over some berms where the handle bar pad was hitting me in the chest and the the back of the seat was hitting me in the small of the back. Back and forth.

There's a really cool tavern at the end of one trial. You just park your dirt bike out front and have a beer. It's an old log cabin tavern and grill. Lots of bikers. Pretty girls.

Sorry it uploaded three times don't know how to fix that.

I know it looks flat but it's the Rocky Mountains. It's anything but flat. Either you're climbing in first or second or the back wheel is sliding out from under you on a down slope. Not my video but same spot.

Man, I haven't been on my bike in a couple of years. Looks like a good spot to take a break too!

Always fun waking up and looking for the bike and checking for broken bones!!

Are you on a 450? Man I miss riding in the mountains.

Is that snow or salt on those trails?

Whereabouts in Colorado are you riding. We used to take trips there from Minnesota to ride dirt bikes years ago. We rode outside of Leadville, Rampart Range, Glenwood Springs, Crystal are some names I remember. I remember some of the trails took us way above the tree line even. This was when I was a teenager. Those look like some vintage iron in the pics, any details?

oh does this bring back found memories of back in the day loved my off road dirt bikes used to race back then ,I would take mine to the military bases that I was on also and take them out the trails ,but my bike`s where all Bultaco` and I still have them today back in the barn boy was that a lot of fun we all had more balls than brains :headbang: thanks Steve for bringing up some old memories :headbang:

Part of why I started riding Quads off-road, instead... you aren't on the ground as much anyway !!
