They could have at least given me a good driver discount.

Another reason why I ditched them looong ago.....

I have Condon Skelly - very happy with their service and price. They include 80 mile flatbed towing and roadside service with the policy, Google them

I dropped Hagerty when they charged me a late fee for not renewing on time, after being with them for five years! And their towing policy is crap.

I am now with Infinity. they were 1/3 the cost, and they have an Independent agent in the local area. They also cover Antique motorcycles, which hagerty does not. I simply joined AAA to get the best towing policy.

X2 on infinity.....

AAA is expensive. When you add it to the cost of insurance it seems you're better off getting a package deal.

You expect to get wood from Sharon Stone....but not your car insurance company.

I have my 2003 motorcycle covered with Hagerty. I'm very happy with them.

I have mine covered by Direct General, who covers my other cars. I was surprised they would cover a 74, but you just need to call up and get a management approval, which I did, and they cover the car for an accepted value just like most insurers do, but for a lot less money.

My beef with Haggerty was on values. I've been driving and buying 73/74 Roadrunners for a long, long, time. I know what their values are, what their prices are, and what they cost to replace, and they were constantly trying to convince me my car was worth four times what I knew it was worth so they could up the premium. Screw that.

They can be, but now every vehicle I own is covered with towing, and I did save a bunch in Hotel and airline costs while scheduling a visit to My Daughter out west. They offer a bunch of discounts. I used Hagerty once for towing.
Three hours later in the middle of the day,70 degrees out a tow truck shows up, no flatbed for my dart. I asked why three hours? plus nobody will drag around my dart!
The driver told me he is the only driver in that part of town that will tow for the Paltry sum that Hagerty allows. So they are cheap! Apparently the reason it took three hours is because the Hagerty operator was calling all over town looking for the cheapest tow truck operator.
That was it for me!

So, finally I reached my oldest Son, who stood guard over the Dart while my second son took me home to get my own Truck and trailer.

I've always had Hagerty and have had good service from them. However, a recent breakdown turned into a 3 hr towing ordeal. Best I can tell, even though I gave the Hagerty rep a detailed description of my location, they botched it up when they passed the info to the towing company. I'll give them one more chance but if another negative experience with them happens, I'll find another company. BTW, the breakdown was a loose ignition switch wire.

I'm a month out from renewing. Who do you prefer?
I too am about a month away from renewing with Hagerty ($347).
Just did a quick online search and here is what I found for a Guaranteed Value of $35,000.
Grundy $250
Heacock $718
Classic Collectors $230
Condon-Skelly $332

P.S.
The Hagerty price was for $30,000. I haven't got a quote for an upgrade to 35.

I am hearing good things about Classic Collectors/Infinity. They quoted my $203 for $40K on my Coronet. The agent said he sells 3 or 4 classic car insurance but recommends Hagerty last. Guess who I'm going with?
