Perhaps the "baddest" car Detroit ever built and flying low under everybodys RADAR.

From the "if only" file...If only they would build it so that I fit.

I can never own one because I can't fit. I'm 6'3'' and 175# (BMI of 19-20, so not fat), but cant get all my legs in, barely fit between console and door, and my head sticks up 6" past the windshield. It's almost as bad as a miata.

At least it saves me a few thousand

You need the "Gurney bubble"
Ford (Shelby) put a "bump" in the roof of the GT40 so Dan Gurneys head would fit.
GT40 = 40" from ground to height of car roof

I just read in Motor Trend, that the future Barracuda (Challenger replacement), will be on the Dart platform.

...and that the Mustang and Fusion platforms may merge and become a 2 door/4 door of the same platform...sound familliar?

I remember back to 1988 when Ford revealed it was ending the rear-wheel drive Mustang and switching to a new front-wheel design, and the Mustang owners declared war and went into full revolt mode. Ford quickly found out there's more to a name than just a word, and ditched their plans to change the Mustang and released the model that was to be the new Mustang as the Probe.

Probe was actually not a bad car.

Shared a lot with a Mazda 626 and they did a good job disguising that.

It did suffer from a not to well thought out name.
