Wow, I WISH I had found mouse turd in my trunk. I found where a raccoon had taken up residence and had eaten/shredded the boxes for the new mufflers that were in there. I found about 15 pounds (not exaggerated) of dried raccoon poop and a nice green shag blanket wrapped around my chrome trim work and then peed upon by the same raccoon which bonded the shag to the chrome in a rusty mess. Of course he must not have been a nice raccoon as his wife moved out of the trunk and into my passenger compartment and proceeded to leave another 15 pounds of fecal material on the floors and in the seats and then ate the cardboard glovebox.
Here is the glass half full part... I once again realized why I love my wife so much... She was right next too me wearing gloves sifting through varmint dung helping me look for trim screws and chrome corners for moldings that used to be in a box that was now scattered by little paws across the voluminous rear cargo area of a 69 Charger.
Ok, my take on the carbs needing "rebuilt" is I am betting if someone is willing to spend that much on the carbs they would probably be happier if you just left them alone (no blasting no rebuilds) and left it up to them. I know I would want to rebuild them MY WAY and not have to redo what someone else has done to em. Also if those are all original (never previously rebuilt) it would probably help them to know how it was done in the first place.
I mean you are not going to use them anyway, right?? Why not just hit them with some cleaner, forget the blasting and the rebuilding and let the guy buying them do that and use that valuable time to work on the car and not the parts that are going away? You may be out a buck or two cause they are not sparkling but hey, you cannot get your time back.
