After I bought the Charger last week. my 21 year old son said he wanted to cruise together in the Challenger and the Charger. He was at his mom's house Friday night so I went to check it out ahead of him. It was about 10:30 pm by the time I was ready, a full moon was out so I thought it would be fun. My first time out so I took the 1997 Camaro, I didn't want to risk the Mopars.

First place I saw was a empty used car dealership on north Academy. Pulled in and revved it. A bunch of people came over to check out the car. Pretty much hung out with them all night. As a group we moved to another parking lot where there were about 150 cars and 250 people. Lots of ricers with the lowered stupid rear wheels stuck out, but hey, do what you wanna do, it's your car. One old car, a flat black POS 1967 Cougar, but people were still interested in it. Everyone was really nice. I'm like 30 years older than most, wearing my cowboy hat, boots and big belt buckle but it didn't seem to matter. I got respect and friendship from everyone.

Yes, there were the very hot girls wearing very little, just like the movies. I'll get some pictures next time. I mean of the cars.

The only racing I saw was street bikes and they must have been doing 100 mph up Academy. No music from anyone! WTF?

sounds like a successful night out on the cruise

Used to live in Colo Sprgs for about 10 years. Wondered if the cruising culture was alive and well there. Good to see it is! Wish I was still living there.
