This a 67 coronet any ideas and still have A good ride? Thanks
depends on how saggy your current springs are.if you like the soft ride you have now, then maybe a set of shackles are in order.normally i wouldnt recomend those, but if you like the ride its about the only way to keep it the same.
I would like raise my rear about a one inch and a half.... Stand on your tippy toesThis a 67 coronet any ideas and still have A good ride? Thanks
not only does it throw off the spring geometry,i have seen them break in some really bad ways.buddy with a 396 55 chev put his dr shaft through the floor board because of one breaking.Couple questions, I have shackles on my 68.
So if I get lift springs, it would be stiffer in the back? Seems like it would. My Coronet rides akin to a cadillac, would I lose that smooth softness over bumps?
Second, why would you not recommend them? Just curious. Do they break? Is there a difference in traction, etc?
Thanks!
I added one modified truck leaf to each side. Perfect. Just over an inch, muscle car stance. No compromise in ride. The Coronet rides like a Caddy too.
Ugggghhhh.... not another 70's throwback!! That stance looked horrible in the 70's and 80's when they all ran around with shackles, air shocks, and cragars. On top of looking hideous, it performs as bad as it looks. Just my .02, and that's all it's worth lol.... OK, now order your shackles and shocks and carry on!!

This looks much better than air shocks jacked to clear N50-15's that are hard as concrete:headbang: Just the right stance. I'm not a fan of the *** dragger look either.
