ID 340 engine

Hi ! I bought a Satellite 1965 with a 340 (believe it is) but I have contradiction in marking. The block cast built code is "69-25-9" and the drivers side casted marking is 2780930-340-4. But on the engine front drivers side it is A273 (one font) and 9220132 (another font) on the machined surface. What does this "a273..." mean ? Is it part of a VIN for the car or some false markings or is it a 273 ? Best regards Jan

2780930 is definitely a 340ci block.

Thanks ! In a Swedish forum for mopars someone says it can be a false marking because the engine can have been used in a Dart that had 273:s. The authorities checked earlier if the engine was the right model and the marking can be done to fool the inspection organisation. Nowadays the do not and probably dont have the knowledge. I will check once again if the surface is damaged in any way to get room for the false marking. It is hard to see because of the steering pump.
