Ignoring PM's?

Common courtesy is to answer a PM. There's been times when I've been slow to reply because of whatever reason but if I'm on the site, I will respond. My gripe is when someone asks about buying something and when I reply with what I'm asking or a counter offer etc, then nothing. Calling me a &()%#$^&) jerk is better than not answering at all, especially when it involves inquiring about the purchase of parts. I guess some do not know there are time stamps showing when you were on the site last.....rant over. :blob8:

theres nothing worse than being ignored. especially when it comes to buying and selling. i cant stand that garbage. i had an item for sale, after countless emails, he was supposed to send out the money last monday and email me when it was in the mailbox, so like an idiot, i went back to the 3 different sites it was listed on and marked them all sold. here it is friday and not one single email. eeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrr , and i needed the money this week.....my fault for taking people at thier word. then people wonder why parts get sold out from under them.

I usually ask them to let me know either yes or no so I dont keep waiting for an answer.. sometimes I wait to answer because I am thinking about it and them forget to go back and answer...

Just as annoying are buyers who say they will take a part, and you never hear from them again. I even had one guy who told me twice that he mailed out a check - I'm still waiting 2 months later.

I try to use PayPal or a postal money order. At least with a PMO, you can get another if it gets lost and there's proof one was sent.

I know what you are talking about but until just a few months ago I did not even know what a PM was.(i thought that a pm was something my wife had right before she would start raising the devil at me. I've looked all over for her hiding place but as of now i still ain't located it. When I find it I'm throwing it out.) And then when some members sent me one of those pm's asking about some of my iron, when I would turn on to the site a box would pop up and say you have a private message.

I'd say hey that's cool and then that would be the end of it. I guess that meant I could not look at it because it was private.

In my particular case when that pop-up came on my screen after about thirty seconds it should have popped up another screen that said "Click here STUPID and we will walk your dumb butt through it".

Kinda like y'all capturing comments and including them in your own post, still just might as well be Greek to me.

there mailboxes might be full, i know mine was full and no one could get a message through to me a while back, luckily a member told me my inbox was full and i was able to clear it and receive messages again..almost missed out on a good deal for some parts i really needed cause of it..they might not even know its full or it can only hold so many, i know i didnt

I always try to get back as soon as i can, But have been told one sent and for whatever reason i don't get it, i don't have anyone on a blocked or ignore list though..
