im at a loss finding this sender or even a tank....67 coronet 440 wagon

some people are telling me its the same as a sedan tank .it has that round shape in it for the spare even though its stored in the passenger side vertically.
does anyone have access to a parts catalog to see if the senders are the same for the wagon or the car?
i would really appreciate it.
ive called just about every tank or parts manufacturer and no one knows a thing about the wagon.

The only difference I'm aware of is fuel line size for six cyl/small block 1/4" or big block 5/16" IIRC

The gas tank is the same for 66 and 67 B body cars and wagons and 68-70 wagons.

The spare tire well in the floor is used on 6 passenger wagons as storage and on 9 passenger wagons as the rearward facing seat footwell.
 
Do you have your old tank out and can post a pic?
 
sorry im not near the car and the tank is still in it.that ebay ad says it will not fit the wagon.
at this point i just wanna buy a sender and see if i can get one working from the 2.
im hoping the float has a hole in it.
 
thats funny its in the list of cars it fits but when i go back up to the top it says it doesnt fit the wagon.

Does the tank leak? I checked with a few vendors and none are listed for the wagons. If your gas gauge doesn't work you may need a sender or it could be as simple as a float or even a bad ground. Pull the wire off the sender and ground it to the undercarriage. (clean off the area you ground it to to make sure it's a solid ground) turn on the key and if the gauge goes to full you know the gauge, voltage limiter and wiring is all ok. THere should be a ground strap between the sender and the gas line that goes to the engine. THe ground goes over the rubber hose at the sender. Senders will be hard to come by and the aftermarket ones are rarely accurate. You can have yours rebuilt if needed. Bottom line, do some diagnosis first and then pull the tank if needed to look further.
 
i just read through that manual stated above for part numbers.
it lists a pn for the car but says except wagon.
next to wagon there is no number at all.
same with what they call the fuel gage(sender)

He said it was mounted on the passenger side vertically.

the tank is horizontal just like a sedan and it has the round shape in the tank that cars have for the spare tire but the wagon spare tire is mounted vertically on the passenger side.
if you lift up the panel on the floor there is a cutout that looks like a spare tire could go there too.some have said that if it had rear facing 3rd row seats which mine doesnt.
 
I think Vans auto lists a Guage for a 64 wagon. It might be close to what you need. 64 wagon gas tank sits upright behind the left wheel.
 
I just looked at the '67 Dodge Service Manual. For the fuel tank removal and installation instructions, they combine the sedan and wagon models. Could that mean the tank and sender is the same for both models and why there's no specific part numbers listed for the wagon? I can't say, it was just an observation. Hope this helps.

Then if true the wagon and sedan could take the same tank and sender.
 
I used to have a 1967 Coronet wagon. The fuel tank was under the rear floor, just like my 1967 R/T hardtop. I have a Mitchell's collision part # Service Guide for 1967 Coronet/Charger. It lists the same tank for all Coronet; part # 2852028. Same sending unit, too; part # 2586759 (5/16" fuel line) .
Best deal is likely RockAuto: Spectra tank made in Ontario, Canada. I bought one last year for my R/T.
