I am thinking about purchasing a set of 440-1 heads max wedge intakes 345 cc's. Any racers using them now. Are there any regrets is my question. Or have you found them to be a good head.

I have never used them as the only Indy head I have used is the EZ heads on my car now. But from what I hear the Indy 440-1 is a very good head with good potential so I would say you cant go wrong using them for alot of power. Ron

what are you planning on running them on top of ?,
need some cubes or spin it high to effectively use their potential {900+ hp}

any details or are we just at the planning stages
what 440-1 head ? at what level ?
there's some specialty parts, like special offset 0.800 intake rockers
& they have raised exhaust ports, can create some issues with certain headers etc.
just do your due diligence/research, IMO might be best to buy as a full kit...

good heads 345cc is decent #'s, for a BB Wedge head volumes,
are they CNC ported ? any cfm flow #'s
{I can't keep up or remember all the combos anymore}
depends on what your expectation & final usage is...

just dealing with INDY directly sucks,
I'd suggest to go thru & purchase from someone else,
that carries their stuff if you can
at-least they use to be bad customer relations & some issues out of the shop too

I've gone thru Mancini Racing for a few parts I've used of theirs
never tried the 440-1 there are a bunch of variances of them

make sure to go thru them check them out thoroughly
or have someone who knows their chit, go thru them for you
I'd never just bolt them on, no matter what any supplier says...

good luck
