Hey got a few quick questions. 1) What torque specs do you torque down the rocker shaft bolts? Also you just put antiseize these right? Or does a guy put blue locktite on these? Wouldnt think you would want locktite on the bolts in aluminum, all new to me. Something happen with me, mine backed out causing the rocker shaft to break. 2) Should I running studs on the shafts instead, if so what brands trying to find a part # aint havin any luck.
Thanks

No loctite, no antisieze either, i believe 25 foot lbs. Of torque.is all you need. to tight you can bend the shaft and distort it,

YOU NEED TO CHECK THOSE BOLTS EVERYTIME YOU adjust your rockers for valve lash.

Spend the money and buy studs with a quality hold down set.Torque the bolts to 20ftlbs as per most manufactures. The torque specs will very a little depending on the shaft, hold down, and stud/bolt.20ftlbs is usually the number. As for loctite or antisieze no,just some assembly lube.ARP studs with a quality hold down.

yes use ARP assembly lube. studs are a great idea too.20-25 ft. lbs..is a perfect torque spec.

Alright cool...I wonder if I went too tight on them and made them weak and broke? Alright got a spare crane shaft so ill try it and see what happens..also i went and checked the other head i had one loose bolt on the shaft also glad i hadnt run it very long...Also I have a .570 ultradyne it calls for .016 hot..whats a good start for lash as a cold setting? Pretty sure i went too loose as for cold setting
Thanks you guys!

its a solid...little update got everything back together...went with .010 cold and when i warmed it up, check the lash and they pretty much were right on .016 hot..sure sounded good think this will be a good update for the car..lol
