Inherited dads race car 69 charger rt/se

Sorry guys I've been busy turning wrenches at work and also on the charger. Let me give an update on what the build is as far as I know.
Now a holley 4150 830cfm double pumper
one inch phenolic spacer
victor 440 manifold
stock heads
mopar purple shaft cam (not sure which one but hydraulic for sure)
unknown bottom end
msd pro biillet dizzy with msd 6a box
unknown long tube headers.
Definitely never selling this car.
Pics coming soon

So now the question is with 11 to 1 compression ( I was told) and iron heads how much timing should i run.. base and total? Want it to be very safe, performance is second after durability.

Sorry for your loose, what type of gas are you putting in her ? I would say 18 initial 36 all in. listen for pinging (pinging ,DETONATION) Back of a little of the timing till she stops pinging. check plugs
Today's pump gas is not the same pump gas of even a few years ago with all the crap they put in it. If you plan on running it on the street get some octane booster in there.
Also pull a valve cover check the last three digits of casting #"s on the intake runner 915?, 906, 452 ? close camber open, chamber will let you know some more info on what your dealing with. again sorry for the loose of your Dad.

Thank you and I put shell 93 in always and I’m waiting on my timing tape in the mail right now just going off the stock marker Im above 10 with the 18 degree advance bushing in and no vacuum advance . The second to fastest curve .

Yes I do I have the black bushing in and a light silver and light blue spring

Sorry for the loss of your father. All engines are diifferent. My 528" Hemi likes 33 Degrees best. Lost power below 33 & lost power above 34 on the dyno.

didnt sell the car guys its running better than ever holley 830 double pumper new polished water pump housing arp bolts in tq converter and alternator and water pump housing new belt new coolant new oil burning rubber

Hey young blood - very happy to see you still on the forum. That’s one nasty looking Charger you have there. Honor your dad and make it the best you can. Glad you’re part of FBBO

Any audible detonation (pinging)?
Depending on the cam you may be squeaking by with those heads and 11:1 CR. A "bigger" cam (like my suspected 292°/.509" lift hydraulic purple stripe) may help keep the cylinder pressure from getting too high regarding pinging.
What heads are they?

I have the Davis United Street/Strip distributor in mine and when I contacted them, they are pretty much in line with what MOPOWER871 and 6PKRTSE said. Their suggestion was to start at 15-18 initial and shoot for 35 total. They said this was a starting point not a hard line and adjust as needed, moving 1-2 degree at a time.

My experience is that 34-36 is good for iron heads. 38 for high CR drag race applications.
