We would like to install this wing on our '75 Charger (hope picture comes out OK) so if anybody has any
suggestions or help it would sure be appreciated. The wing does not sit flush on the body of the car.
Thanks

im not a body man BUT... i am a master carpenter. if the wing is made of something sandable, youll have to " scribe" it to the shape of its intended mating surface. ...THENNNNNN. youll have to do some inside the trunk support ( see superbird wings). so you dont rip it off . that looks like a Daytona wing. make sure you use the "washers" that mount inside the trunk and under the wing where it bolts thru...and rigg up some kind of support. heres a link....the support im talking about is the 1st pic under the purple car on the trailer

Sell it to me for half what you paid for it and I'll save you ten times that in grief and frustration trying to make that thing fit that car......

Thanks tpodwdog for the reply, wish you were closer that you could help us form the foot of the wing to mate up with the car. Also thanks for the link to the showcars website. Actually that is not too far from us (wish I had know they were there before).

If the wing is made from fiberglass i would build up the bottom to match the cotour of the qtrs with smc structrual adhesive. you can put down wax paper on the qtrs, then put a fairly thick layer of SMC panel adhesive on the bottom kind of to the contour you wand then pres the wing into place running the bolts in if you have them drilled or just hold it for a little while for it to set up. The wax paper will peal right off and then you can just final sand fill and prime to make it perfect. Lord fusor makes a realy nice bonding/filler for fiberglass and SMC that is a two part that pumps out with a gun. any body shop supply co. should have the material and a rental gun you could use. we have bonded on body kits and molded them to the body in the same way. It is very easy to work with the consistancy of latex calk.

Thanks Nsane, will definitely consider your suggestions. Sounds like maybe you have done this before.

I run a body shop. So yea have done similar. Let me know if you need any advice
