CSR sheild.Had to massage the floor a tad and it still touches the floor in one spot.Next time the trans is out I'll give it a few more whacks with the BFH:eusa_wall:
Made a trip from the old garage to the new garage, unloaded and the phone rang with a fresh victim so I did nothing there today other than add to the clutter. Still have to clean up from Sunday when we dropped the engine in!

Thanks for the CSR info, Did you change the bellhousing section also ?? , to like a J.W. Perf. Trans. Ultra bell or something...

Stock housing, just opened up the bottom of the "bell" for better access. With the super bell you still need a blanet, not so with the sheild.I still need to come up with an engine diaper:angryfire:

Glad to hear she is back together. Ron

Almost Ron,still have a bunch of small stuff to do.My rental garage is about 9 miles away.Depending on traffis it's a 15 min ride or it can take 45 min to an hour:eek:

The motor look's great in the car. Getting ready for cruise nite's and track I assume. Anyway's let me know when you will be at Bellmore. Have fun, Joe C NY

Thanks! I'm chippin away as time allows.I stuck waiting for my good friend to help with some cutting and welding. He's on a job outta state.Soon as the floor gets done, the exhaust & headers can go back in. I'm still looking for a carpet supplier that can make the back piece longer to cover the floor all the back.

Looks good! Man one day I better have a engine half as beautiful. Btw Do you only run a front engine plate? I was thinking about switching from mounts.

Up 'till now it was a 1 piece engine plate.I had a 2 piece and it always loosened up.
The trans mount is stock poly.I added a CSR trans sheild and after I finish repairs on the floor, then install the headers by slipping them into the exhaust amd bolting them up I will fabricate some engine limiters, just need to see where to put them after the headers were installed.I was under the car yesterday scraping undercoating primarily where weldin will be done, but like anything else once you get going I was knocking off as much as my back would allow. It sucks getting old:blob1:

I took my electric pump out too!!!
I went to the Moroso electric motor / belt drive system. I figured it's the best of both worlds! I have a mechanical pump that wont burn up and leave me stranded, but also don't have to drive it with the crank pulley.... I know, I know,,,,, your saying, "but you still have a motor that could burn up!" I also have a V belt lying in the trunk that can go from the crank to the W-P just incase... LOL!

I know I have one of those layin around somewhere:angry9:Once I get the new garage in order and put everything away I'll feel much better:eek:
I still need to fabricate some brackets to mount my alternator under the motor plate on the passenger side. Not sure yet if it will work, might have to go to a mini.
I have 2 full size 100 amp 1 wire alternators,so it would be my luck to have to switch to a mini:angry9:

It's looking good, lots of work...

I would drill a hole through the mount and run the alt mounting bolt right through it into the head.

Funny you say that,I was down at the garage for a little while and I took the drill and................................
