Installing clutch type sure grip in a 489 just the differential. A few questions.

If I recall correctly, you set the backlash to .001-.0015, then tighten right adjuster till you get .005 -008 backlash. Then torque cap bolts and install locks. Double check manual. Good luck.BTW, nice spanner, mine was way more crude!

I marked everything with center punch marks. Caps, locks, bearing capture nuts. Everything. Rechecked the backlash, pinion preload, and the gear pattern. Everything seem to come out perfect or at least the same as before I started. I can't believe the comparison on the gear tooth pattern. Almost identical. I'll be putting it together this weekend.
