Was always surprised & kinda disappointed that my '65 magi Crossram intake didn't have some provisions to attach a heat shield (similar to street hemi) to keep hot oil off the runners.... Anyone know of, seen or used any kind of heat shield & proven benefits ??

Looking at various 1968 --70 era photos & video shorts of Sox & Martin '68 S/S hemi builds & maintenance, I've noticed them using a simple looking, deep "U" shaped aluminum valley tray resting on top of lifter bore bosses & extending upwards to intake port bottom rail, effectively Between all lifter & pushrod mechanicals,. Preventing any hot oil contact with Any intake manifold....Saw them using same fabbed--up tray at Chrysler testing strip sessions..... Anyone seen or used such hot oil intake manifold heat shield ?
