Building a 383 Stroker and heads finally shipping today. Naturally, my first thought for intake selection (Edelbrock) looks to be sold out. Anyone know if the Trick Flow Track Heat will fit without cutting the hood on a 67 charger? RPM height lists as 5.35", with the TF at 5.75".
If so, how is this intake for a street car? Doubtful that I'll ever be spinning this engine real high.
Details so far 383 .60 over, 440 Source Kit, TF 240 Heads. Still unsure on carb and exhaust choices.

I run the RPM on my 383 stroker. I use a 3/8" spacer and a drop base aircleaner. I believe my aircleaner itself is 2" thick. I put some plumbers putty on top and gently close the hood without the spacer to see my clearance. Right now I have about 1/2" clearance from the wingnut I believe.

Edelbrock DP4b if you can find one. They are close to stock intake size and shape. Probably not the best performer out there but will fit under the hood.

If you want some safety room, a holley street dominator fits well. Added bonus, very good performance.

99.9999% positive you won't get that Trick Flow intake under your hood.

I have a Weiand Action + that I may be listing for sale. Has some custom porting done by Brian Hafliger at IMM Engines in CA and is painted Hemi orange.
