Should I put clear coat over the interior paint to make them more scratch resistant or is there something else I could do?

the type of paint should dictate whether clear should be used. UV protection is in the clear on some paints. contact your supplier.

Are you doing the door panels or seating? I was thinking on the seating, it might work for extra wear protection, but I have not seen a post commenting yeah or nah.

I use single-stage urethane.

If your worried about original don't clear it, but its your car I have a 72 Dart Swinger I am going to paint here in a couple weeks and mine will be base/clear black, looks much sharper and gives it a pop, looks much better with every color!! On my General Lee I am going to paint the dash tan and will clearcoat it as well as it.
