Is it a 426?

A guy I know says his 65 Satellite is a 426 car. How can I verify this when it is missing the motor?

I have a buddy with a 65 convert with a 426 wedge

i think it should have #80 on the fender tag on the left lower corner just above the bottom row of numbers that should tell you if it did or didnt if he has the fender tag that is.

It says 50 35 above where it says SO. Car has a 4 speed hump.

that would be a 361 engine
