First of all this is my 1st post but I've been lurking for a little over a year, anyway I need help trying to figure out if a potential new project is worth the asking prices... 1970 super bee with matching #s (383 hi perf) He wants $10500... what do you all think???

that car needs a ton of work and parts, don't see how it's worth the asking price

Welcome Dyolf, Have you done projects like this before? The question is how much experience do you have repairing what is needed? How much money do you have? You can find a decent driving car for twice the asking price that you can drive and enjoy now. You will spend 4 times the asking price restoring the car yourself. Much more if you send out most of the work. I feel it is a lot of money for a car that needs everything and has "run of the mill options" . Dig deep into your sole and figure out if you want a project to dump thousands into or something you can drive now.

My 2 cents is save a few more $$ and buy a driver.

You will get the straight talk here on this forum.

Yeesh, 10,500 is a lot for that. You'll have 50k into that thing before you know it. As far as it's actually worth I'd say closer to 5k if that.

Probably not, to me. I think that is posted on Facebook? Looks like a run of the mill Super Bee in triple EF8. The money you'll sink in right off the bat just to get this a driver you better have only eyes for this exact car. If you have wandering eyes raise your budget and even look at clones and you can drive now.

Hang in there, patience pays off eventually.

Edit: looking back at others replies I think I repeated some things. Sounds unanimous.

Price is to high. I'd say $4000.00 at the most. Lots of sheet metal to replace. When that's done, you still have a ton of work. What about the frame rails and trunk?
Listen to the others and buy a daily driver.

Like other have said you'll spend a lot of $ to get it back on the road. Seems like most projects can take 3-5 years. Get a driver that you can work on & enjoy.

look in b body section for sale there was a guy who had a 70 bee for sale for same price, was red and black a much nicer car needed very little don to it.his forum name is pspbee in car for sale section.he asking 11,500.00 might get it cheaper than that.

I would guess $4500 to $5500 would be a realistic price. Typical Mopar rust, check the frame rails and inspect the cowl for rust.

If it was a 68 or 69, I'd say 3 grand tops, but being that it's a 70, he should pay you to take it away.

You can take that advice to the bank.

Walk away from that car quickly, and do not get your wallet out.

Agreed..... the price would be fair if it was a really solid car but needing that much work nah. Like others have mentioned, your better to spend double that price and get something solid.

Welcome. Let some other idiot buy it

That car looks like its been sittining on the ocean floor, run away. There are a ton of b bods out there in better shape for 10k!

RC hit the nail on the head with this advice. Continue looking for something better.

I also agree, as '70 it's just not worth it. Actually, it's looking like a parts car, at best.
