Is this 440 balancer for an internally balanced or externally balanced engine?

I know it’s a bad picture but if you guys could zoom in and let me know. I was told it was internally balanced. Would help to know with other questions I had.

Correct. But that style is internally balanced? With the non taper balancer style as seen in the photo. Are those normally used on internally balanced engines?
Without it being factory, and a poor picture with a poor paint job, it's tough for anyone to give you an answer you can take to the bank.

It " appears" to be internally balanced. Remove it, and take better pictures for verification

Unless of course it's some pic off Craigslist.

It appears to be an aftermarket damper... Wide outer ring but the pulley mounting location is likely standard OE dimension...

Some of those use removable weights in the back side so without removing it it's impossible to say...

Treed by RemCharger...
