Was following the B block intake post, so I went in my garage and took this one off the shelf.
I assume the model means its for a 440? Is this a desirable intake? Its cleaner than it looks, thats dust from sitting on my shelf for 10 years..
Thanks

It's decent but the Performer RPM is better.....

IMO....short answer...yes. its fairly newer in that it appears to accept spread bore (Qjet) or square flange Holley snd hasvtge EGR ports (presently plugged) and the later well choke design provision. PERFORMANCE...??...never used one...
BOB RENTON

Same performance but lighter than stock.
Same performance as what? I know the 68-69 B factory B intake is pretty good.....but don't know much about the RB factory intakes.

I believe the rating on that one is from idle to 5500 rpm. Whereas the Performer RPM is 1500 to 6500 rpm. Ruffcut

Don't really remember the numbers but that does sound about right. Thing is, not many take an RB up to 6500....

It's a decent street manifold, and short enough to fit under most any hood. Performer RPM will make more power, at higher rpm, but its taller and has less hood room .
Roughly speaking, same performance as the stock 440 magnum intake, but lighter.

It's a good street dual-plane manifold for the reasons already stated. And the best part, it didn't cost anything !

And so what is a fair price for this intake?
Well, a new Eddie performer (comparable) is $318, and a performer rpm, (a better manifold) is $330 (IF you can get either of them at the moment) I would consider $200-225 a fair price. (The last intakes I bought were a tm7 for $75, a M1 for a dominator for $80, and a team g weiand for $100).

it depends on what u want to do with it ? r u racing or just driving ? the one is a duel plane intake & the other isn't(i dont remember witch one os what) . then if u have the one over the other & u want to save $$$$$ u use what u have . the other thing to watch for is warpage . i had a older mopar performance on a 440 & after i took it off the intake bolts would not line up on the heads . everyone told me the heads was cut too much & i had to get the intake milled to match the heads . as it turned out the aluminum was badly warped . i put a stock cast torn intake on & everything lined up jus fine
