Well at this point theres someone else enroute to possibly purchase the car...if it falls through ill do my due diligence....would love to get my hands on it
Check the body stampings but floors & trunks the wrong color did happen from time to time... I've got buddy with a A66 Challenger vert thats coded EB7 but under the carpet & in the trunk it was FC7... Mistake? Maybe, but I've also heard the painters would sometimes spray the last bit of paint from a previous car into the floor & trunk prior to cleaning their guns....
That wouldn't happen if their were spraying a common color, they have different guns dedicated to the high volume colors but when a lower volume color like EB7 or JA5 comes along I could see it happening...
73 only means it appeared only for model year 1973.
Ebody only means it only was available on E bodies.
The tag shows us the color was available on B bodies as a regular optional color. If is was not a regularly available color, the tag would shows 999 for color.
I bought this car for a buddy today. It's legit, silver paint everywhere underneath the terrible purple and black engine compartment paint. Pretty solid, a little rust in the quarters and passenger rear floorboard. Also came with a bunch of new and extra parts, including a hideaway headlight grill and bumper and a new set of Cooper Cobra tires. The bulge hood is really nice and the trunk is completely full of trim, taillights and grills. It has 440 in it and came with the parts to rebuild it. He's excited to blow it apart and start working on it.
