Welp, the whole reason for the timing cover removal. I was dreading this, but it turned out easy peasy. And it was broken inside the hole. No kidding, 3 minutes. All summer my power steering belt wouldn’t stay tight enough regardless of how tight I made the one remaining bolt that held the pump bracket. It was a good evening.
