Is this site is working slow this morning

Interesting!!! I had zero speed issues yesterday or today and, for the most part, hardly ever. I wonder if y'all are not at times clearing your Cache and Cookies, using an ad blocker...I know Joey hates them but he cannot do a damn thing about any of us running one...to keep the site clear and running strong. Plus, I also flush my DNS and do an "ipconfig" weekly, which also helps. Finally, those who keep using their phones are going to be more prone to this occurring as they ain't at all good for using the internet and web as they are "phones"!!! Not a computer at one's desk...cr8crshr/Bill:usflag::usflag::usflag:

I like A bodies, but sadly, it makes less economic sense to restore an A body due to the lower value of them, in comparison to a B or E body.

Yea .
At the risk of being obvious, how many times over the years has it been pointed out though that with the possible exceptions of shops in the business , restoring cars oneself is no way to make money? And witness all the hand wringing that people do about the market value of there cars dropping on here.
Especially after the old farts die off and demand may drop. Who really knows. Will our kids actually want them? Will they be able to even drive them?
So enjoy the day while driving something fun if you can is my motto. Watching one's possessions sitting in a garage is decay.
Drive an A body to get groceries if possible.. Or to a car museum. They are hidden gems. This week I'm reminded of Luke 12 :16-21.

FABO is for people that can afford more than one type of classic MOPAR.
And those that actually drive them.

Because they're economy cars, and they need them to get to work?? :praying:

See first sentence.

I'm puzzled by your comment. Would it not be less economical to pay someone else, or an establishment, to do the restoration ? As opposed to doing some, most, or all the work by yourself ?

...... or is it just me?

could be the both of us! But slow here too!

Dead slow, a lot of buffering.

It’s slow, I even did a reboot on my phone.

Well, that's a wide open thing.
Almost as vague as what qualifies as a "restoration" which I think started the discussion (OT I know)
Yes to your first question in general.
Example 20k for body work or paint to a shop that makes money in the deal verses doing it myself. So, shops can make money.

I may be off, but as I've heard many times about someone's car, and there is no way they can get their time, labor and parts out of doing it themselves.
But that certainly depend on the car in question and he indicated.

I've got A Bodies I bought years ago as pound puppies. No one want them till now. And I've certainly have gotten my money out of them. And could sell with good profit on them. But I won't because I don't need to.
OK?

RC didn't notice yesterday & just got on today about a 1/2 an hr ago
so whatever it was is on your end or fixed already

I see your post was like 2: am PT

Albeit my whole (Comcast/X1) cable tv, internet & phone/land line,
all of them was crashed/down or really slow this AM, when I turned everything on
about 9:00am PT, & was down/like that for about a 1/2 an hr to 45 min.s
had to reboot my box, the router/wifi too

could be something related to that, maybe the big system was messed up ?

I don't know I see a crapload of B-Body drivers on the forum here
I drive mine reg., mostly weekends when less traffic
it's worth a bit more than an A-body :poke: albeit I do like some
a few of the A-bodies 65-72, Dusters, Darts, Demons, Barracudas/Fast backs 67-69
not a big fan of sedans at all & even like some E-bodies 70-71, 'cuda's AARs & TAs
but like a lot of B-bodies, from 61-72, 2 drs, HTs & wagons alike
& all the 'midsize 5' Plymouth

It's been slow loading pictures at time yesterday and today for me but my internet sucks out here in the styx.
13 miles from the capital and on a non county maintained road and can't get high speed internet in the year 2025.
Deep woods so Star-link won't work either unless I cut a hundred trees or more.
I for one love A Bodies but B Bodies are cooler :poke:

I just got a new computer and it's lightning fast. Yes the site was stupid slow, number one. Number two, cars are a toy just like most things in life. Not all cars that glitter are gold and I bought mine, like all my boats, motorcycles, and vacations over the years, for fun. Just like a hundred dollar dinner, in one end a hundred bucks, out the other end, fertilizer. Fertilizer for my bushes works for me. Value is in the eye of the beholder and I'm going to be 69 in a few months, money be damned................. The clock is ticking and I have no patience or time for penis extensions, but, that's just me.

I am saving some money to pass forward by getting myself down to two pallbearers, there's only two handles on a trash can!! :poke:.................. ENJOY!!!

Oh, they say the same thing around here also, and yes, you're right! I'm a realist, so are you.
