It lives to see another day

Great looking project. Don't let the little hiccups like the wrong mirror slow you down, they seem to go hand in hand with restoring these cars lol. Get it fixed and move on to the next piece of the puzzle.

looks pretty good so far! you are pretty far along. is thwer no other option for the mirror? seems a shame to redo the door after so long it will be tough to match it up!

@ Charger 360. I have come to terms with it like hunt2elk says. I have no clue to what the mirror is off of and couldn't sleep at night now knowing it is the wrong mirror for the car.
I have also learned from Instrument Specialties that the tach in the speedo cluster is NOT factory. They tell me it is from a Cutlass that someone modified to fit into the factory location on the speedo cluster. I always knew the tach looked different than most but thought maybe it was an early production but no not the case.
Somewhere early in this cars life it was owned by a"Car Molester" HAHA.

Lol! Unfortunately I'd bet a lot of our cars suffered the ownership of car molesters before they came to us, mine definitely included! The hackjob patchwork that was done on my car's sheetmetal before I got it was ridiculous. Don't let it get ya down, like elk said it seems like these cars have a way of throwing curveballs at you every time you turn around, I say it's just the nature of car building haha. Keep up the great work :icon_thumleft:

looks good, glad to see your back at it
