Looking at a 7000 starting 6000 run.... https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/86066/10002/-1
I can't find the engine brand on Jegs site-probably Chinese. It does look nice and 2 year warrantee is good but, do you have to send it back to Jegs for warrantee service?Looking at a 7000 starting 6000 run.... https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/86066/10002/-1
Wish I could afford one......can barely swing this one. It's the cheapest one of this size that I've found so far.Get one with a Honda engine with a nice quiet muffler.
Yes, it's Shineese and that's pretty much an industry standard now and no, you contact the manufacturer. I would assume they have service centers locally to work on them but will check with them before buying. I have a brand new 'Restinghouse' 5300 that is putting out a bit too much 'dirty' current for me. It's on loan with option to buy but would really like to have a little bit bigger one. Am about to contact customer service to find out where to take it to have it checked. The data sheet says <23% THD but man, if it's on the high side, I don't want it even as a back up to the main gen. My 20+ year old Generac was much better even after all the hours I put on it and have no idea how many total hours are on it since I got it used.I can't find the engine brand on Jegs site-probably Chinese. The engine on my old one still runs fine but the gen part smoked. Need to take a look at it before it gets canned.....I've got an ancient Dewalt from 20 years ago that still works great.
has a Honda motor but is very loud
Hey Cranky, explain what you mean by “dirty current” please. I’m in the market for a generator, I’m not familiar with THD. Thanks.Wish I could afford one......can barely swing this one. It's the cheapest one of this size that I've found so far.

They're not a Jeg's product. Tractor Supply sells them online, but they have very few reviews.Looking at a 7000 starting 6000 run.... https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/86066/10002/-1
I wish that we had Menard's in the south. They are such a great store.Menards has 11% right now.
Coworker got one for his new camper, happy with the price. Think it was a Ford, but they have Brigs and Generac as well as other brands.
And some of those A-is
It's nice when they run the 11% and then I put it on my card(paid off monthly)and get 2% back quarterly, so 13% even if I buy sale items. With the whole remodel I'm doing I need every penny.I wish that we had Menard's in the south. They are such a great store.
Plug in a regular light bulb. My old one wouldn't get off the idle control with the LED lights unless there was several plugged in. Anyways, when you see the light flickering, the generator isn't putting out very clean electricity. THD means 'total harmonic distortion'...... https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=what+is+thd+in+generatorsHey Cranky, explain what you mean by “dirty current” please.
