Anyone know if the windshield in a 1977 Dodge Charger will fit a 1974 Plymouth Satellite?

Yeah, they were paying baseball in the yard and decided to hit some rocks and one of them clanked off the bottom left side of my windshield and its got a nice spiderweb crack.

...kids...I couldnt get too mad cause I have done the same thing when I was a kid...but still hit the dang rocks the other way.

IM SORRY buddy, I deal with grandkids now if one of my own did it them i would give a wack to the head with the ball bat! Call or email these guys if noone knows, heck you could send an email now anyway. here there closed for the day I live right smack dab on the stateline and there in Ohio, they came out and did a repair job on mine. Even if someone does get here at least you would have email sent just in case, mine is in garage, winter still playing her games here,, the local track Thompson Raceway Park sent an email tonight saying there still not open cuz of the weather.. They were supposed to already have been open and it was delayed but now the water is seeping onto the track. Hope it turns out good for ya, i can imagine how your feeling! Ron.

AH to clarify..... my son the youngest at 27, and yes i would wack-em!! Didn't mean for 74 there to do it!!! Just in case someone took wrong way!

It has all of its suspension to include the disc brakes. Should I pull it? I am also linking about grabbing all the lenses and bezels and cleaning them up and selling....

I knew what you meant Ron. :idea1: So just to make you feel better, I thought I would let you know that they are all still breathing today....

Although that came into question today when I was dissassembling the wagon (You know the tried and true, bag and tag) When my 4 year old decided to storm through the car and over all the trim panels...breaking 5 of them in the process. I swear I have more patience than a mule.

lol, bag-n-tag.. Good one. You must be patient man... We all need that.

To very good thoughts buddy, How is the search going for your windshield, if i may ask.. Something like that would tend to work on me until i found one OR at the least what its going to cost, I don't have to say anything about the amount of time and cash we usually have in these old cars. One of my favorite sayings from someone who sees your car before you have started anything at all is: "WOW, that shouldn't take much time at all to get done"... Bet im not alone with that one.. :) Good luck again. Ron

it looks like the one in the charger will fit. He wants $75 for it. Swinging by a music store to grab some piano wire to pull it from the car. He also told me that the price of steel is climbing up again and that the charger is slated to be crushed end of next week. So I need to hurry and get everything else I want off it. I am actually surprised how much works from that car to this one.

Maybe you should try to get the whole car depending on how much. Might be worth it ...strip and junk rest.

I am actually pondering that very thought. I checked the engine oil and trans fluid and both are clean with no foul smells. I asked him what landed the car in the junk yard and he said the previous owner (A high schooler) blew apart the rear end. I also found the window sticker in the glovebox. The trans is a small block Torqueflight and not the 904. I removed the spark plugs and put a breaker bar on crank bolt and the engine turns over.

Well if you can swing it id say do it... Ya know once you get that home and start disassembling it, Depending mind ya what kind of shape you find that under carriage, you know what im thinking, ive been thinking about it since i posted that myself, ya never know... Underside of that car in great shape isint a no way thing, it could be. lol.. I was just thinking what a story this could turn out to be starting at finding it and getting parts to buying it to get all the parts to a finished story of whos got ? for this car to finish it up a few years later. Ive seen it happen. LOL. Good Luck..Ron

documentation

Lookie at what I found in the glovebox. Owners manual was there but in little itty bittie pieces as was everything else except for these three documents which are in remarkably good shape considering everything elses condition.

Pictures below show the window sticker with a price tag of over $7,200 in 1978. His yearly insurance quote of $258. As was as the warranty pamphlet that came with the car.

Owners name was Glennie Brewer that lived right here in Longview, Tx.

Pretty cool that he added almost $2,000 in options to this car. Really starting to look like a 1 family owned car. I found no documentation in the glovebox of any other owners other than Glennie here. The car dealer is still in business I believe to.

Pretty cool, He went pretty good on that car. neat finding all that documentation. Those papers are in nice shape......
