My old HS buddy Roy came out this week from Il and we met up with other old buddies that we haven't seen in years. Roy brought his photo album and he had a couple of pics that I didn't remember existed.

Track is Fremont. The Charger is Mike's and is where my 6 BBL for the orange 69 RR came from. My buddies and I in my driveway with the 68 RR. Yep, that car actually moved under it's own power at one time. I made the commitment to send it to a MoPar restorer in OR to have the body work done so I'll be taking it up there in about a month. It's time this car get's back on the road.

Cool, and I noticed the English Mk1 Ford Capri on the driveway in that last shot ! With anything from a mighty 1300cc 4 cylinder up to a 3 Litre V6 it's what we had to play with instead of Mustangs back in the day.

They rusted just as bad too.

Very cool old vintage photos Meeps, love the 68 RR... what street is that in Concord ?, you lived on, kind of looks like in the Farm Bureau area, one of those guys looks familiar {guy on the far right}, allot like one of the Barrado's Eric & Carl {I can't remember the other youngest bros. name, that's who I'm thinking of} youngest brothers of "Instigator" Challenger fame... Good ol' Fremont Raceway, brings back some fond memories, use to be the fasted track in the west...

Bud, you pegged the location within 200'. I doubt you know the guy on the right. That's my buddy Mike Kwok and he had the red 69 R/T in the other pics. Yep, the good 'ol days. No money but lots of time to work on stuff! Now I have money but no time to work on stuff.
