K.B. blocks

Chuck and Pete are the guy's they knowledge and there work ethic is bar none my 632 made 1230 with no problems......
Agreed. I see that they are now a reseller of the KB blocks. Once my cuda comes back from the chassis shop I will be giving them a call to see what kind of time frame it is to get a block.

Is there an issue buying direct from KB or something ?
It may be easier {quicker?} to get that way {?},
I don't know for sure
the guys out east are closer I guess, save on shipping maybe

I have always bought directly from the source...

I haven't bought from them in a while now...

they list a bunch of blocks Hemi & Wedge
street & race blocks in 4.250" bore to 4.50" bore
10.20" to 10.80" decks from $6,895 - $7,500 for a marine block

I bought mine through Tim Banning at FHO but like Budnicks said KB offers them on their web site at the same price.

Best machine is two miles from me and the shop is impressive, can't remember the names off hand but great guys to talk to, they loved my GTX.

I'm pretty sure this "new offering" is what Best Machine marketed briefly as "The Block" a new aftermarket 4 bolt main redesigned block that can be machined into a Hemi or a RB Block.
If so, it's a good design. Good guys at Best Machine. I first read about "The Block" in MCG magazine.

I have 2 older KB Hemi blocks from the Top Fuel days before everyone has gone to Billet blocks. Pretty cool, one of mine is a Connie Kalitta Block & the other is a Jim Head Racing block.

Good luck getting a newer KB block. Guys have had deposits & been trying to get a block for years (see the Moparts post about KB) Since Keith's passing. His Son Ken, has been trying to make things work & has merged with 3 other sources to try to keep them moving along. I Believe Best Machine has been working with KB on the machining aspects of the new blocks. Sounds like some of them are starting to ship as of recently. I think Best machine is also working on some of "The Blocks" also.

Muscle Motors in Lansing were the ones that developed & created "The Block" but I have heard rumors he has now shut down & may be out of business? I don't know if it was from the expense of developing the new block or not??? Maybe, just time to retire?

Seems like it wasn't that long since I spoke with them on the phone. Website is up. No news of what you suggest on a web search. I'm going to call them Monday.

View attachment 567363 View attachment 567364 View attachment 567365 this is a windowed n cracked kb hemi block . it will need abit of repairs , but it was about 400 bucks at a swap meet . i've been using it for fitment .

I have two old 90's ex top fuel KB blocks. Pretty cool, one is an old Connie Kalitta block and the other is an old Jim Head block. I use one on a engine stand all dressed up for a display engine and the other for a mock up block in the chassis. Nice and light. Can be lifted in and out by hand myself and don't need an engine hoist.

Brodix might be working on some mopar blocks as well, I had mentioned something about aftermarket mopar blocks on their Instagram page and they replied saying “stay tuned”
