Moth balls are just as bad as mice for the smell..takes for ever to get rid of it. I do have mice around here as I am on a farm. I use the dryer sheets as well without a problem yet.....mind you I use a whole box and put them everywhere LOL.
I also leave glove box open and the console lid and flop down my sun visors. I have seen cars with holes in the headliner just above them.
If your restoring the car maybe pull the front and back seats out and store them in the house.
