Leaps of faith...

What's amazing is the wide range of opinions people have. Most people are happy with "good enough" while others are absolute perfectionists. When you offer a product for people's hard earned cash you want to satisfy as many people as much as you can. I felt that the gap between the pieces is a highly visible feature and focused on making it as tight as I could. I was unaware that the woodgrain texture is supposed to flow from one piece to the other. Had this not been pointed out to me I would have missed it. I really appreciated that tip.
Here is @FURYDAVE's GTX dash with a near perfect fit.

Man, that's damn near perfect!

Did I mention that the $28 includes FREE shipping? I didn't pay sales tax either!
:rofl:
Why you, I oughtta….. :mad::D

Ed, so glad to hear that your tests are negative and I pray that they stay that way.

Radio looks good and the slight difference in color is a non issue to me as Chrysler had so many damn parts and pieces with loose tolerance and differing shades of color. My 69 has the original hockey stick with repop radio bezel. I had to elongate the upper screw holes to get it to screw into the dash frame...no idea what I paid for it but it's better than a gaping hole.

And the lower plastic extensions, the early ones that are smooth and translucent, are rare as heck. I bought a driver side one that was cracked for about $12 if I remember correctly and I was very happy to get it.

Bro - my reference to those same extensions you’re referring g to - I paid $20 for the right side and get this $65 for the left side from Tony’s - and I was happy to get those! You got a steal for $12! I couldn’t find them anywhere. Rare as heck - I’d say like unicorns.....
