I have my original left hand lug bolts on rear driver side. Im aware that these cars had them. But, what was the reason behind it ?
Pain in ***, I’m putting on new wheels and lug nuts. Rather than buy 5 left hand nuts. I think I ll just replace the studs. All these years and I guess it has to be me, lol !
you collect those? i have a tin somewheres full, with the lug nuts.I'll pay the postage for the LH studs in good shape.![]()
I have no problem, giving them to you. But, I’d be very hesitant on reusing any wheel studs. Once used, the knurls will never be the same. Not worth the hassle of one spinning and not being able to get the nut off when you need to. I cut one off and replaced it on my 1950 Chevy not too long ago for that reason. Not a big deal. But, it’s not worth a hassle you can prevent.I'll pay the postage for the LH studs in good shape.![]()
Plus, if you get a flat tire somewhere. Come to find out the stud starts spinning because you installed a used one. You’re screwedI have no problem, giving them to you. 610-104 ? rear stud? I hope so.They still make these left handed studs. Dorman has them.
The red X means I disagree and that's it lol. I think it was 73 or around there that the left hand studs were discontinued. Anyways, I bought a 72 Challenger in 74 with 40K miles on it and nearly broke the left fronts off because I was turning them clockwise to get them off. That's when I found out the car had been wrecked and whoever fixed it replaced the left handed lugs with right hand and I didn't bother looking for the 'L' on the ends. The left rear still had the original left handed ones on it.....I believe 70' was the year of the change over from l.h. to r.h. I have 4 70's coincidentally and 2 of them have l.h. and 2 of the have r.h. and all appear to still be the original studs in each car.
