Legendary Upholstery alternatives?

I used PUI covers on my 66 Satellite.............................
I did PUIs on my '69 Barracuda several years ago now. Lol, I was just happy to get them on fairly straight. The covers were made in 2014 per the sign-off..........

Aw, man!

There is a guy around here that is a wizard at repairing stuff just like this to the point where you cannot even see it. His work is unbelievable. Take a look around your area - I'm sure that can be be repaired.
He just needs to get the material from Legendary so that it matches the original.

Hopefully no Legendary products were on that ship......

That ship was loaded and leaving port.

One of the things PUI consistently gets wrong is rib size and spacing.

Their 66 Coronet is terrible.

...but their 66 Satellite is about 98% right.

Hi to all that are considering seat covers from legendary interior. I ordered black with silver pleats seat covers from Dante the first of April. Almost to the day I just received them this past Thursday, Approximately 90 days for delivery. I don’t know if this is the Direction Any of you all would go but the delivery was not 9 months to a year.

I needed new carpet for a Chevelle a few weeks ago and having installed most all the main suppliers upholstery, I have seen Legendary stuff that was a cut above in quality in materials, design, and stitching. Of course their stuff is also a bit more in cost as we know we get what we pay for. I decided to weather the wait time and order carpet from them. I was surprised when the carpet showed up rather quickly, but it was from Auto Custom Carpet, not even in a Legendary box. I could have ordered that carpet much cheaper and with free shipping from other suppliers. I thought from past kits I ordered I got carpet made be them, I dunno...

ACC is the only manufacturer of carpet for old cars so it doesn’t matter who you order it from, it will come in an ACC box. I ordered from Legendary also because they were helpful with color samples that I wanted first. I also ordered during one of their sales so cost was not bad.

However, the 25+ year old carpeting I removed (little doubt also ACC) had a lot thicker backing (plastic?) on it than the new stuff. Like a lot of stuff, they have cheapened the product a little.
