okay i'll throw my 2 ton tuna boat into the equation. i drive it about 450 miles a year in the summer time only of course, because i'm in alaska. can't use pump gas(14 cr), so i use vp c16(which is expensive). it is street legal, factory tubs, leaf spring suspension, through the mufflers,4000lbs with me in it,all steel and a foot brake. the car runs 10.30@136mph on motor and 9.20@148 with a 300 shot of nos with m/t 29x10.5w slick. not as street as some and a bit more street than others.
Is your 66' a full interior street car? I saw on a oldride.com that the 66' Bel/Sat's weight is 3255 lbs fully dressed. My 66' Satellite will sport a 512/440 with stealths heads, Comp XE286HR, pump gas freindly 11:1 compression, and Eddy dual plane intake. The drive train is 727 flite w/reverse manual valve body, 3000 stall, and 3.23 sure grip 8.75 rear.66 Belvedere, 3580# with me and fuel in it, 525" Comp hyd. cam, 850 dbl pumper, thru the mufflers, with 235/70r15 street tires, 3.91 gear and street hemi 11" vert went 13.1 @ 106.8

The '71 Charger was running 11.66@119 MPH at bandimere? Lower altitude (or traction) could be a problem with no roll bar.
Info on car: Registered, plates, insurance, full (quiet) exhaust, #4,100 lbs, Full interior, no roll bar, no power adders, 3.91:1 741 case 8-3/4, stock leaf spring suspension, extra leaf added and pinion snubber, 0.96" Torsen bars, front/rear sway bars, 27x10.5 M/T street radials, no hood scoop or cold air intake.
As you can tell, the car is not going to 60' very well.
The Engine is a 400 block stroked to 500" (4.375x4.150) about 12.4:1 compression with flat tops and Edelbrock Max Wedge Victor heads, Indy 400-2 intake and 4150 style Holley HP, 1,000 cfm carb. 14"x3" air filter with K&N filter top, 2" hooker headers into TTI 3" exhaust. 264/264 @ 0.050" HXL Comp cam, 0.714"/0.714" lift with 1.6:1 ratio T&D rockers.
That's the car in the avatar.Sounds like a great combo, heavy car with a great run at 5600+ ft altitude, you would be in tech trouble at sea level for sure...LOL.. No rollbar... How about a few pitchers & some back ground in the welcome wagon section I think it would be well received... Nice 71 Charger in your avatar, is that the car ?....
